Update: SAVING GRACIE was released on July 10, 2012 and is available in trade paperback from Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. E-format Kindle version is also available at Amazon.com.

Started my first novel (SAVING GRACIE) around 2006, not exactly sure of the date. After a ton of rejection letters (J.K. Rowling got nine...I've got her beat), I started on novel #2. May 2011, I attended the Houston Writers Guild Conference and met with three literary agents. Two out of the three requested a copy of my first novel. Yikes. I spent the next eight, maybe nine (who's counting...) months completely rewriting the book. I submitted my query, synopsis, blah, blah, blah on February 29th and on April 3rd I was offered a publishing contract.

PS - Saving Gracie is categorized as a contemporary women's fiction with a paranormal element, NOT (I repeat) not romance. I have nothing against romance novels, I just can't write them. I believe it to be more of a parent/child story...not exclusive to mothers and daughters. I've already had several guys who have purchased and read:)

PARTLY SUNNY, book #2 is was released September 5, 2013 with another grand launch party at Roznovsky's. Book #3, TIME TRIALS, is under way.

Timmy, when you mentioned you always called him Eagle, the song, Fly Like An Eagle (Steve Miller Band) immediately came to mind. I looked up the lyrics and then listened to the music. It fits...

Of course I had no history with him in sports, I just have such fond memories of him being genuinely a good guy.

You're right Timmy (Garcia), gone but not forgotten...
