I will never forget the time in Ms Andrews Geometry class.  Bill was in that class with me.  I don't know if his name was familiar to me or what but I had a  picture of Bill from Kindegarten in my wallet.  I looked at the picture and my mom had written his name on the back of that picture.  I asked Bill if he went to Berry elementary school, which was on the North side of Houston.  He said he had and I told him I had a picture of him from Kindegarten...... I pulled it out and he was totally blown away that I indeed had his picture after all those years.  I probably still have it somewhere in my memorabilia.   Bill was a great guy and I was sorry to hear from Lois that he had passed away far too soon.  I am glad that I had gotten to visit with him at a class reunion that he and Lois had attended....

And in a world that is in seriously short supply of those kind of people it will leave a huge void. Bill was one of the typical good guys that we all saw growing up. Not a saint, not perfect but a normal good guy and since he was five years older than me one of the guys my mother could point to and say "why don't you try to be more like him he's a good guy". Bill grew up in Houston and stayed close to home. He got married and stayed married, raised two children with Lois that he saw grow up and get married themselves, distinguished himself in his career and had strong life-long friendships. As a good guy you might not notice Bill everyday we don't always notice the good guys because they don't show up on the evening news. But he made an impact on people's lives just by being around. Bill was one of the good guys and he will be missed. Written by Bubba Padon
