Joe was pretty close to me, Steve Harwell, and Mike Kalousek in particular. We use to drive to memorial park together to play early sat morning golf back then. Our first stop at 5: 00 am was shipley donuts. we would then put our ball in the rack and wait for sunrise.  Joe died going to tomball in his volvo about the spring of 1971....approximately. he was a great guy and the punter on the football team. He lived on T C jester and gardendale back then. I know I miss him and his fun loving antics!

I had a party at my house and my mom asked attendees to come help clean up the yard the next day.  Joe was the only one that did.

I loved the time we spent together when were in elementary school and early high school.  He was my first boy friend.  He would always leave his shoes at my house when he came to visit me.   His dad would always have to bring him back.  I loved watching him at football pratice and the games.

Joe would always find a way to wave at me.  We had a great 4 years together.  Joe you are truly missed.

Joe was very friendly and I always enjoyed talking with him.  Sometime during the year after we graduated, he had begun to give me golf lessons.  I was very sad that he died so young and tragically.

Joe was a very sweet and considerate young man.  Like Deborah, we went to school together beginning in Elementary.  When we used to go to the Oak Forest Swimming pool, Joe used to meet me there so we could see each other.  I thought he was the cutest boy I had ever met.  He was my first boyfriend.  Of course he wasn't old enough to drive so he would ride his bike all the way to Martin Street to see me.  I was very saddened to learn of his demise and I truly missed him, because we stayed friends throughout school.
