Alex was my first love from a young age. I've never been the same since he died. My grandson was named after him, Kaden Alexander, and looks alot like Alex did and acts like him. Alex had an angelic quality about him.
Alex and his dad were both avid hunters. When my family bought a ranch at Fairfield, I invited Alex to spend the weekend hunting on the ranch. He and his dad took me to a shooting range near Houston one Saturday. We spent hours at school breaks and recesses talking about guns and hunting. I had moved from Houston to Fairfield before the wreck and read about his death in the Houston newspaper that my father read every day. I would have attended the funeral if I had learned in time. He was a great friend and ran around in earlier years with Kenneth Thomas, Steve Mistos and me. Steve only lived 3 or 4 houses frome me and Alex would ride the bus home with us to play sometimes.
