Waltrip High School
Class Of 1970

50 Year Reunion Registration

(actually 51 Years....)

The Class of 1970 50 Year Reunion will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, starting at 6 pm. A pre-reunion Gathering is also scheduled on Friday, October 22, 2021. You may come to the Gathering event as early as 1-2 pm; live music will begin around 6 pm. Both events will be held at the Sheraton Brookhollow - 3000 North Loop West.

The organizing committee wanted to avoid the need to sell tickets for the reunion and allow free admittance to all Class of 1970 graduates and their spouse / significant other. Based on the expected turnout, and the generous donations received from 1970 Classmates to date, the committee feels this goal has been achieved. If you would like to make a donation (any excess funds will be applied to the 55th Reunion), you may do this by credit card or check. Click on the following link to access the Class' Square account site for more details.

REGISTRATION: No tickets will be sold for the Reunion or Gathering events. But in order to best plan for these events, the committee is asking you to register so we might know how many people are expecting to attend each event. This is especially important when ordering food for the Reunion. Please complete this registration process as early as possible and no later than October 11th.

You may register by selecting the link in the left column (50 Year Reunion Registration), which is just under the Home Page link.

Note: Any Waltrip graduates from other classes or additional guests beyond your spouse / significant other will be required to pay an admittance fee at the door. No advance tickets will be sold. The fee will be $50 per person.

ACCOMMODATIONS: If you wish to stay at the Sheraton Brookhollow for the reunion, please call the hotel (713-688-0100) or Sheraton / Marriott Central Reservations (800-325-3535 or 888-236-2427). A special rate of $89 / per night (plus fees and taxes) has been negotiated. Be sure to mention the Waltrip Class of 1970 Reunion event when making your reservation. To receive this special rate, reservations should be made by October 11th.

Attention Reunion Goers

The "Missing Classmates" link has been re-activated on the menu bar on the left of the home page . There are MANY classmates who are not actually "missing" but haven't signed up for our website.

When you get the chance, click on the link and scan the list. With everyone involved I'm sure we can get more of our classmates signed up. If you know how to contact some of these folks send them a link to the website or let me know their email address and I'll send them an invite.

Thanks everyone, Terry Lee-Rosing

Welcome to our Waltrip High School Class of 1970 website. Over 50 years have passed since we graduated from Waltrip. Our last reunion (2015) was a huge success and we expect this year's reunion will be even better.
We have created this web site to make it easy for us to get reacquainted and to stay in touch--plus communicate important upcoming reunion details.
When you get a chance, check the "Missing Classmates" link on the left side bar. Many of our classmates are not actually missing, they just have not signed up on the website. If you know how to contact anyone on the list, please send them a quick email with the link The more classmates we can gather, the easier to pass on information about our reunions, and of keep in touch.
This site is FREE to all Waltrip Class of 1970 alumni, teachers and invited guests. Unlike and the other sites, you do not have to pay to make a profile or to be able to access other alumni profiles.
If you are a registered classmate, welcome back! Enjoy looking at the profiles of old friends as more join, BUT don't forget to add/update your own photos and information!
You do not have to be a registered classmate to view any of the links in the yellow rectangle box (upper left-hand corner of this screen). However, classmate profile information is restricted to registered classmates or approved guests.
A great way to support our school is to joiin the Waltrip Alumni Association: You can sign up for free, be an annual member for as little as $25/yr. or make a single donation. All proceeds go directly to the betterment of S. P. Waltrip High School. On the alumni page you will also be able to see the projected plans for the renovations taking place. Just click
If you are a visitor, thanks for stopping by...
