My life has been like that Beatles song, "The Long and Winding Road," except with dangerous twists and turns. I spent all of the 70s in school and much since. Like some of you, I have gone from fundamentalist Christian to non-religious. Sorry if that shocks some of you, but I don't really care anymore, to be honest. My counseling psychology practice keeps me busy. In addition, I have been on the faculty of Our Lady of the Lake University-Houston (M.S. in psychology program) for fifteen years this summer (2013).

Regrets. That's the key word when I think of Waltrip. I feel like I missed out on getting to know wonderful people because of my painfully low self-esteem. I would like to apologize for being such a self-righteous clown in those days. I remember being at our graduation in 1970 talking to Karen Bowman and thinking to myself, "She's really cool and I don't know her at all!" What a waste. During those last few weeks some of us played "touch" football (sorry about busting your lip, Ronny) and having much of that same feeling. I decided I didn't want to put off staying in contact with people anymore. Here's to all of you from the class of 1970!
